An Open Community Continuing
the Thought of Martin Heidegger

Purpose

The purpose of the Heidegger Circle is to develop, promote, and secure the future of Heidegger studies. The Circle is therefore dedicated to critical thinking and scholarship that rigorously engages with the works and life of Martin Heidegger from a variety of perspectives, including, but not limited to, creative, historical contextualization, exegesis, contemporary concerns, and conceptual exploration. The purpose of the Circle is served by the holding of its annual conference, by its affiliate journal, Gatherings: The Heidegger Circle Annual, by the organization of satellite sessions at major North American philosophy conferences, by its mentorship program, and by other activities that facilitate community among its members.
